We are looking for a warm, caring andreliable childminder to join our family and care for our two young children in our home. Our children: * A 14-month-old toddler. * A 2½-year-old who will be attending ECCE (Montessori) from September. This is a part-time position, approximately 3–4 days per week, with hours around 9:00am–3:00/4:00pm. We are happy to be flexible with the right person, and the exact days and hours can be agreed together. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, happy, and engaging environment for our children. Duties include: * Providing attentive, nurturing care throughout the day. * Planning age-appropriate play and educational games. * Encouraging learning through play, creativity, and outdoor exploration. * Taking the children for walks, to local parks, and on other suitable outings. * Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children. * Feeding younger child as needed and encouraging independence at mealtimes. * Dressing the children and helping establish good daily routines. * Nappy changing and supporting toilet training when appropriate. * Reading books, singing songs, and encouraging language development. * Supporting positive behaviour with kindness, patience, and consistency. * Tidying children’s toys and play areas throughout the day, while encouraging the children to help tidy up after themselves. * Cleaning up after meals and leaving children’s areas clean and organised. * Communicating with parents about the children’s day, activities, meals, naps, and any concerns. We’re Looking For Someone Who Is: * Kind, patient, and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children. * Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. * Warm, fun, and enthusiastic. * Proactive and able to use their own initiative. * Happy to get outdoors in most weather and encourage active play.
