Hi, I'm Anna. I grew up in the Netherlands and spent the last couple of years in Germany, most of it in business consulting and project management. But the moments that actually stayed with me weren't from that world, they were things like sitting with someone while they told me a story from their childhood, or noticing what would make their day a little brighter and just doing it. That's really what care means to me. Playing a song that brings someone right back to another time. Asking about a memory nobody's asked about in years. Pointing out a news article because I know it's something they'd care about. None of it is complicated, it's just about paying attention. I've worked professionally with elderly people, as well as with people living with dementia and with physical and mental disabilities, and what I've learned each time is that there's no formula. Everyone needs something different, and figuring out what that is for that specific person is the part I actually enjoy most. The business background isn't wasted either, it means I notice patterns, in someone's mood, their appetite, small changes in health, and I know how to put that into words for a family who isn't there day to day. I'm looking for a live-in role specifically, that's where I can actually get to know someone rather than just showing up for a shift. I don't mind irregular hours, and I'm flexible on where in Ireland it ends up being. One more thing: I travel with two dogs. They're calm, they don't bark, and they'd stay with me in my room rather than roaming the house.
