Hi, I’m Viktoriia, a caring, reliable and experienced childminder based in Killarney, Co. Kerry. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Pedagogy and Primary School Teaching, as well as a background in psychology and social care. I also hold a QQI Level 6 Special Needs Assistant (SNA) qualification from Kerry College, Children First certification, and Psychological First Aid for Children training with the Irish Red Cross. I have experience working with children of different ages, including children with additional and special educational needs. I completed work placements as an SNA in both an Irish primary school and an Irish secondary school, where I supported children with learning, communication, emotional regulation and daily activities. I also worked in a private early childhood development centre, where I organised educational activities, supported children’s development and taught English to young learners. My background in psychology and social care has given me a strong understanding of children’s emotional wellbeing, behaviour and individual needs. I believe in creating a calm, safe and supportive environment where children feel secure, respected and encouraged to develop with confidence. I am available for full-time or part-time childcare, including evenings, weekends and overnight care if required. I’m also happy to travel for childcare arrangements in Kerry, Cork or Dublin, with transport and travel costs discussed in advance depending on the location and length of the booking. I have strong references from both the Irish primary and secondary schools where I completed my SNA placements, and I would be happy to provide these references upon request. I understand that choosing a childminder is an important decision.
