I'm a nanny working in Cork and West Cork with over four years of experience caring for children aged 6 months to 12 years, including children with ASD, ADHD, and Down Syndrome. I hold a QQI Level 5 in Psychology and Social Science, which shapes how I support children — emotionally, socially, and developmentally. I use positive discipline with all children, and with those with additional needs I draw on multi-channel communication (including basic sign language — I'm a trained sign language interpreter), structured visual routines, and nervous system regulation techniques. I love helping children build emotional vocabulary, discover new skills, and explore the outdoors. I believe children thrive when they feel both safe and genuinely happy. In my care, that means we play, create art projects, cook and bake together (safely!), and go on plenty of adventures — from libraries, toddler gymnastics, baby & toddler groups, and soft plays, to exploring nature and discovering the world around us. I care deeply about the children I work with and I take that responsibility seriously. I'm looking for a role where I can make a real difference.
